    Cultured Contrast: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Charlotte’s Local Artist

    Where: Knight Gallery (345 N. College St. Charlotte)

    Cost: Free

    Visit the Knight Gallery now through Sunday Jan. 24 to view Cultured Contrast, an art exhibition celebrating Charlotte’s local artist. Exhibit is curated by Sydney Car.

    Open Air: A Conversation

    Artist Asser Saint-Val, a Haitian multi-disciplinary artist featured in Inter | Sectionality, the Gantt Center’s current exhibition— is the featured artist for this month. Dr. Alix Pierre, an art and culture analyst and director of Spelman College’s Cultural Orientation, will also join this conversation moderated by Inter | Sectionality curator Rosie Gordon-Wallace.

    Acoustic Grace

    Join the YMCA of Greater Charlotte on Jan. 18 at 9:00 am on Facebook, for a program to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Guest speaker Martin Luther King III, the oldest son of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Coretta Scott King, will lead the online discussion focused on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
