    It’s officially Black History Month y’all. While our history should be celebrated ALL year round, we wanted to drop a few online and in-person events for you to tap into.

    As always, if you go in-person wear your mask and practice social distancing rules. COVID-19 is still very real.


    Small Space Sessions 

    When: Every Saturday in February

    Where: Dupp & Swat

    Cost: Free

    Meet Black Creatives

    When: February 2, 9, 16, 23

    Where: Online

    Cost: Free

    Connect with Black creatives in the Charlotte community every Tuesday at 6:30 PM during Black History Month.  Register and browse the guest list.

    Kenya Templeton Presents: Swinging and Beboping with Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and Friends

    When: February 5, 6pm and 8pm showtimes

    An Artist’s Day of Healing

    A community-wide, virtual, day of healing, led by artists and creative professionals from the Charlotte area.

    Central Piedmont Arts presents mixed media artist Monique Luck as she discusses her work in the Ross Gallery. Open to anyone on or off Facebook.

    Queen City Streams Series – Free Live Stream Performance Powered by Mandolin

    The Block: Creators of Culture

    Where: Online, Private Zoom Link will be emailed to those who RSVP.

    Celebrate Black History Month on The Block. Reminisce on the history of Black culture and art with some of Charlotte’s key culture creators. 

    Charlotte Photography Club

    When: Multiple dates in February

    Photographers of all skill levels are invited to the Charlotte Photography Club to learn new skills to sharpen and improve photography techniques. 

    Learn How to Draw Using Adobe Illustrator Online in Two Hours

    In this two-hour beginner level class, students will discover vector graphics  and Adobe Illustrator Start Workspace.
